OPENER Charlotte Hoare scored an unbeaten century for Colwall in their 110-run home win over Old Hill in Division 2 (West) of the Women’s Midlands League.
Hoare struck eight boundaries as she carried her bat for 100 in newly-promoted Colwall’s impressive 259-2 from their 45 overs at Stowe Lane. Hoare was well supported by fellow opener Kate Farmer (59), while Suzanne Platford struck an unbeaten 22.
Good bowling from Kate Morgan (2-19), Becky Fortnam (2-29), Farmer (1-15), Hoare (1-25) and Emily Tompkins (1-35) helped to restrict the visitors to 149-8.
There was also fine fielding performances from Colwall’s Charlie Mason and Anna Lycova.
