MONDAY'S point at Morecambe was vital and hard-earned.
It was a good, ground-out point and we'll now be hoping for a total of four points from Monday and Saturday before the final game of the season.
There's no point in denying that Saturday's game against Bradford is massive.
But as long as we get a better result than Barnet do then we will be OK.
We can only concentrate on ourselves - it's down to us and we must get a good result at home against Bradford.
On a personal front, I'm delighted to have concluded the contract negotiations which mean that I will be here for the next two years.
It has taken some time to finalise but David Keyte and Tim Russon have backed me and my ability to do the job.
Everyone knows that I have a great passion for this football club and I will, first and foremost, do my utmost to keep us in the Football League then next year look to get us, at least, into mid-table.
It has certainly been a huge learning-curve for everyone this year.
We have to start planning ahead because we don't want to get caught out.
We're trying to sort out preseason and we need to sort out the majority of the squad for next season if we can.
We have to look at progression next year because we have been at the wrong end of the table this season for a reason.
But we have shown that we are capable of being at least a mid-table team, if not pushing around the play-off places.
The players obviously have concerns about their future employment but the biggest thing is to stay in the Football League.
If we don't, then finances and the budget change dramatically.
At the moment, because we do not yet know what league we will be in, it's hard to say what budget we are going to have.
That's a concern because we still have to set about the task of recruiting players.
For our current players, it has been a rollercoaster season with non-stop pressure.
They lost a manager after 12 weeks then Russell Hoult and I came in; things went well and Lennie Lawrence came in but then he and Mathieu Manset went in the same week; Dave Kevan came in and has done a fantastic job; then we got a three-point deduction which was no fault of theirs but down to an admin error and now they are still in the dog-fight.
People keep asking whether we feel the pressure and, of course, we do. But the players have had it all season and they are used to it.
And it may work to our advantage because players at other clubs who are now being dragged into the battle at the bottom of the table may not be used to it.
On Saturday, the sort of performance and crowd that we had when we played Chesterfield would be fantastic - we could do with as many people as can get here coming along.
We need a big crowd to gee us on and keep us going - Premier League players have been complaining that they have played 40 games but some of ours have played 50 and they do not get looked after anywhere near as well as they do in the Premier League.
They just keep grafting and digging in; they do not want a relegation from the Football League on their CV and certainly none of the staff
