NEW Hereford United striker Delroy Facey says he’s looking forward to the season ahead.

“It’s an exciting time and I am looking forward to getting on with the job,” said the 31-year-old Grenada international.

“I’ve only been down here a day - but I have got a flat and I have settled in very well.”

United’s players reported back for pre-season training earlier today (Wednesday).

“I scored goals against Hereford last season and that put me in the shop window,” said the former Lincoln City striker.

He added: “I was at Rotherham with Alan Knill and he’s a similar sort of manager to Jamie Pitman - he’s young and enthusiastic.

“If Jamie Pitman can continue his form, I am sure that he can step up through the leagues.”

Facey plans to visit Hereford's top spots.

“I knew Hereford wasn’t a big place but I am told it’s a very nice place and I am looking forward to seeing the sights.”
