Bromyard Town 2 Wolverhampton Casuals 1 AFTER looking the better side for 75 minutes and creating numerous chances, Bromyard had to withstand a late rally by the Casuals before picking up three useful West Midlands League Premier Division points.

The win moved them level with their opponents and put them well clear of the bottom three.

Bromyard dominated the first half and put themselves in the driving seat with two tremendous individual strikes on goal by Chris Allen inside the first quarter of the game. He went close to a third goal, the ball going just the wrong side of the post minutes before the break.

Bromyard were forced back in the opening minutes of the second period, but weathered the storm and fought back, although they missed a number of clear-cut chances to seal the win.

It looked as if the weak finishing could cost them dearly after Wolverhampton netted with a speculative lob to reduce the deficit and kept the pressure on until the final whistle.
