AFC Wulfrunians 2 Hinton 2 HINTON came from behind twice to earn a merited West Midlands League Division 1 away point against high-riding opponents.
Hinton went behind early on when some weak defending allowed the Wulfrunians to cross over the head of keeper Scott Russell for an unmarked forward to score from close range.
The visitors responded positively to the set-back and tied the score midway through the half. Matt Smalley fed Ross Semple and he buried the chance.
In an evenly contested match, chances were created at both ends, but the score stayed at 1-1 until midway through the second half.
The home side regained the lead with a well taken goal.
Steve Cuss replaced the tiring Ross Semple and immediately made his mark on the match by laying on the equaliser.
His cross from the right was volleyed home by Smalley, who also had a late chance to grab a winner, but his fine run and shot curled just wide of the target.
