Hereford United 0 Leyton Orient 4 THE young Bulls' recent improved form counted for nothing in their latest Puma Youth Alliance Cup clash.
After an even opening, Hereford fell behind when they failed to close down in midfield and an Orient attacker raced through to score.
Two fine saves by Daniel Taylor then kept the young Bulls in the game while James Hancock missed an opportunity to level the scores when he fired narrowly over.
Orient extended their lead two minutes into the second period when the Hereford defence failed to deal with a long throw but it took an excellent point-blank save from the visiting goalkeeper to prevent Tom Harding from pulling a goal back after good work by Darren Andrews on the right.
Hereford also appeared unfortunate to be denied a penalty after an apparent foul in the area but Orient drew further away with a third goal midway through the period and wrapped things up 10 minutes from time.
