Tividale 4 Bromyard Town 2 INDIVIDUAL errors proved costly as Bromyard went down to West Midlands League Premier Division high-flyers Tividale.

Failure to clear their lines saw Bromyard gift the opening goal to the home side after 20 minutes but good work by Dwaine McFarlane set up Tony McLean to equalise 13 minutes later.

The scores remained level until half-time but Tividale regained the advantage early in the second period when an innocent-looking ball into the Bromyard area was left by Aaron Drake, deceiving goalkeeper Dean Smith and ending up in the back of the net.

The title-chasers then extended their lead with a lob over Smith's head after a poor clearance.

A superb volley from 25 yards by skipper Rob Woodward brought Bromyard back into the game and for a while Bromyard pressed hard for an equaliser.

With the visitors pushing forward, however, they were caught on the break and a foul by Chris Allen brought the home side a penalty which was converted by Adam Checketts.

This proved enough to seal the points for Tividale in a game in which Bromyard had enjoyed much of the play.
