Tranmere Rovers 2 Hereford United 1.
HEREFORD United’s relegation was all but confirmed at Prenton Park with their 27th defeat of the season at Prenton Park on Easter Monday.
The injury-ravaged Bulls side had no way back after falling two goals behind in the first half-hour and now only a mathematical miracle can save them.
Hereford fell behind after seven minutes when Bas Savage raced through to score.
And Rovers increased their lead when Charlie Barnett curled in a shot from just inside the penalty area after a neat exchange of passes. Rovers skipper Ian Goodison was sent off 18 minutes from time but all Hereford could manage was a Steve Guinan penalty from the last kick of the match.
