TWO players have departed and a striker has arrived at Hereford FC ahead of today’s match at Bradford (Park Avenue).
The Bulls have signed 20-year-old former Aston Villa striker Kelsey Mooney ahead of today’s trip while Simeone Maye and Raheem Hanley have both left the club.
Slade said that the Bulls needed to sign an additional striker with both Reece Styche and Rowan Liburd currently on international duty.
“We’ve moved quickly to bring in some cover for the weekend,” said Slade.
“Kelsey has come through the youth ranks at Villa, he’s the son of Tommy Mooney who himself had a fine football career, so he has a very good pedigree in the game.”
Last season Mooney was loaned out to League Two side Cheltenham and made nine appearances. He was released by Aston Villa in the summer.
“He’s an exciting young player who likes to get a shot away, he makes clever movements and will bring energy to the team. His arrival will give us an extra option in attack for today’s game,” added Slade.
