HEREFORD boxer Liam O’Hare has had a rollercoaster few days with one fight cancelled only to be replaced by a more prestigious challenge which will see him box on television.
The Super Middleweight Midland Champion was scheduled to fight on Sunday, June 23 at the Excelsior Sporting Club, Premier Suite in Cannock.
In a dramatic turn of events, the promoters cancelled the show leaving O’Hare without a fight.
Undeterred, his team have managed to get him on a more prestigious event the following week.
The fight is part of a GMB promotions, In The Fire event at the Skydome Arena, Coventry on Saturday evening (June 29).
European and other prestigious titles are on the line, so it promises to be a great evening of entertainment and a must attend for his supporters.
“I was all set to win a second Midland Title in Swindon back June which got cancelled, so when I learnt that my June 23 fight was also cancelled,” said O’Hare.
“I was very disappointed for my fans. But I was determined to get an alternative bout and at short notice I have managed to get on a card for a European title fight.
“It will be my television debut so I am super motivated to show my skills. I feel that winning this fight will help prove my boxing credentials and spirit for the bigger title fights to come.”
The bout promises to be quite a contest, so if you want to see Liam in his televised debut bout you can purchase a ticket on http//teamohare.co.uk/fight-tickets.
There is free transport to the event from Hereford.
