HEREFORD boxer Liam O’Hare is gearing up for his toughest test yet against fellow rising star Ollie Cooper.
The fight, part of the highly anticipated Excelsior Sporting Club St Andrew's Night Dinner Show on November 28, is expected to be his toughest challenge yet.
Both fighters came face-to-face today at a press conference, flanked by Excelsior SC promoter Scott Murray and renowned boxing pundit 'Big Daddy' Steve Bunce.
O’Hare’s opponent, Cooper, has a reputation for being as skilled as he is unpredictable.
Cooper’s power and versatility have earned him a string of impressive wins, and many pundits suggest he could pose serious problems for O'Hare.
The showdown has all the ingredients of a classic Midlands rivalry, with both men eager to claim the title and the bragging rights that come with it.
Steve Bunce, who will host the black-tie event, was quick to fan the flames of anticipation. He said: “This is not just any title fight; this is the kind of clash that defines careers. O’Hare has the heart, but Cooper is no easy target. Cannock better be ready for fireworks!”
With a five-course meal planned for the evening and a sell-out crowd expected, the St Andrew’s Night Dinner Show is shaping up to be a night to remember.
‘The Midlands War’, as it is already being dubbed, is more than just a fight – it is a battle for local pride. For O'Hare, it is the chance to prove he is the undisputed king of the Midlands.
But with Cooper standing in his way, victory is far from guaranteed.
Anybody interested in tickets is urged to contact O'Hare directly as it is set to be a sell-out show and only two tables remain.
