Step inside the newly renovated Tropea, where Italian tradition meets culinary innovation within every dish.

Tropea offers an innovative take on Italian dining with a menu crafted for sharing. It combines traditional Italian flavours with contemporary elements, showcasing dishes across multiple categories that include Spuntini, Antipasti, Pasta, Meat and Fish, and a variety of seasonal vegetables and salads. Guests are encouraged to try 6-7 dishes per table, creating a dynamic tasting experience.

The recent renovation brings even more room for walk-ins rather than bookings and even more covers, so you can enjoy the rustic elegance of the restaurant anytime!

Tropea’s artistic atmosphere has been awarded the Good Food Guide’s Neighbourhood Restaurant of the Year in Harborne, Birmingham 2023.

Tropea’s listing in the Michelin Guide mentions ‘the Italian ethos of uncluttered, straightforwardly delicious cooking is alive and well at this bright neighbourhood restaurant’.

Other than a larger area for comfort, the restaurant has a new kitchen space, ensuring a wider range of dishes can be introduced, drinks could be served before dinner, therefore meeting with the palate of locals.

This autumn, Ben Robinson Young, the creator of Tropea, invites you to savour the delicate, tender flavour of Partridge, enriched by the richness of Venison, the crisp tang of apples, and the tartness of Blood Orange.

After my visit to the restaurant, I was amused by the new drinks bar, intrigued by the contemporary artwork hanging on the walls and the dimly lit atmosphere, emitting comfort and warmth.
